Kraglin Obfonteri is a minor supporting character in Guardians of the Galaxy and a main character in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.

Kraglin is Yondu's trusted and loyal First Mate.

Physical Appearance

Kraglin is a young man in his late 30s, early forties. His exact age is not known, but he is older than Peter Quill, and might have been in his late teens when he first met Quill as a boy. Kraglin stood six feet tall and had brown hair and blue eyes. He wore Yondu's red Ravager colors, mostly wearing a red leather jacket and (sometimes) leathered pants.

Personality

Kraglin is caring, humerous, fun-loving, friendly, loyal and heroic.

Kraglin does have a sense of humor. For example, he punched Drax in the shoulder playfully with a humorous smile after Drax said that he thought of Sakaarans as people made of paper. Although , Kraglin is terrified of the young woman, he humorously tells her that she should buy a pretty necklace or a hat to make other girls say "ooh, that's nice" before bidding her an awkward farewell.

Early History

Kraglin was born on the planet Xandar. At an unknown point, he joined the Ravager Clan of Yondu Udonta and became the captain's First Mate. He would often clash with Yondu's adoptive son, Peter Quill, forming a rivalry between the two men.

Peter Quill

Peter is one of Kraglin's former Ravager teammates turned captain.

Yondu Udonta

Kraglin was devotedly loyal to Yondu and was in fact his First Mate, probably since before they abducted a young Peter Quill. He also knew Yondu better than anyone else, as Kraglin knew why Yondu didn't deliver Peter to Ego like they were supposed to and knows for a fact that Yondu likes flying with Earth knickknacks at his side.

However, in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Kraglin briefly loses faith in Yondu and speaks up against him. Subsequently, all of Kraglin's friends are killed by Taserface and his fellow mutineers, causing Kraglin to betray the Ravagers and later help Yondu, Rocket and Groot escape the Eclector. In the end, Kraglin is greatly sadden by Yondu's death and takes pride in receiving Yondu's arrow and prosthetic fin.
