Groot is a Flora colossus from the planet, X. He eventually became friends with the genetically-modified organism known as Rocket. They committed crimes together. He was only limited to three words: "I am Groot."  He is one of the two tetartagonists (alongside Drax the Destroyer) of the Guardians of the Galaxy, one of the three tetartagonists (alongside Drax the Destroyer and Nebula) of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, one of the tritagonists of Avengers: Infinity War, and a major character of Avengers Endgame.
